

Sadie was born July 26, 1977 to David and Sandra (MacTavish) Gross in Yankton, SD and lived there until she was 5 years old. Her family moved to Apple Valley, MN, where she attended school before returning to Yankton for her senior year of high school. In 1995 she enrolled at the University of Memphis where she received her BBA in three & a half years and her MBA the following year. She passed her CPA exam shortly after graduation and worked at Deloitte before accepting a position at MLGW. She then worked at Medtronic in the International Finance Department where she travelled extensively, even living in Switzerland for nine months. After leaving there she returned to MLGW. She was also an adjunct professor at the University of Memphis where she taught both undergraduate and graduate classes.
Sadie was a gifted athlete who played junior and collegiate racquetball. Sadie won multiple state, regional, national and world titles in both singles and doubles. She loved animals and traveling. She was a member of Tennessee Society CPA’s and a member of Chapter BT of the PEO Sisterhood. She devoted many hours raising money for various charities including MIFA, Church Health Center and St. Jude’s.
Sadie is survived by her husband Dean Tutor, Jr.; step-son James Dean Tutor of Memphis, TN; her parents David and Sandra Gross of Memphis, TN; her brother Andrew, sister-in-law Jessica, and two nephews, Tyler and Aiden Gross of Acworth, GA; her in-laws R. Dean, Sr. and Aleita Tutor of Memphis, TN: and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins across the U.S. and Canada.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Norman and Marjorie Gross of Yankton, SD; Robert
MacTavish of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, Canada; and great-grandmother Mildred Danforth of Yankton, SD.
