Shannon Slakans, age 51, passed away in his home on April 9, 2022, of colorectal cancer. He was born in Memphis, TN on September 2,1970. Shannon graduated from Bartlett High School. Shannon was a very selfless and devoted family man. Family was everything to Shannon. Shannon loved the lake life which included jet boats, he enjoyed Nascar, football (Go Pack Go), and fishing. Shannon was preceded in death by his father, Valdis; his brother, Timmy; his sisters, Lisa, and Tammy. He is survived by his Mother, Bonnie; his wife, Michelle; his children, Courtney, Nicki, Dylan, Cameron, and Logan; his siblings, Jeff (Deanna), and Debbie (Mark). He also leaves behind loved nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 4:30-6:30pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 2:00pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122 with interment to immediately follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133.
