After teaching for 36 ½ years, Sheila happily changed her 3R's to retire, remarry and relocate. On June 21, 2008, Sheila married the love of her life David Dixon. Sheila devoted her time to her loving husband and their extended families. She had a great love for serving God and participating in the church. She really enjoyed singing, appreciating God’s gift of nature and spending quality time with friends and family.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lucille Morgan, her beloved only son, Robert Toon; her brother, Jeff Morgan and her sister, Charlotte Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, David; 4 grandchildren, Michael Mayeux, Jackson Toon, Averi Toon, Lily Toon and her special daughter-in-law, Stephanie Toon; her step-daughters, Amanda Dixon, Candice Mosby and her husband, Travis and step-grandbaby, Penelope Mosby.
Sheila loved the entire word of God but a favorite being Matthew 25:23. Well done, good and faithful servant.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 10AM until 11AM with services to follow at Covenant Baptist Church, 3170 S Houston Levee Rd., Collierville, TN 38017. Please tune in during the service on Covenant Baptist Church Facebook page.
