Sunshine Cole Brooks was born on August 20, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to John King Cole and Irma Ellis. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William R. Brooks.

She leaves behind a Son, William "Cole" Brooks (Lisa) of Middleton, TN and a Daughter, Leslie Brooks Bobbitt (Larry) of Collierville, TN.

She also leaves seven (7) grandchildren. Mary Nicole Brooks of Horn Lake, MS, John Robert Brooks (Rae) of Memphis, TN, William Patrick Brooks of Memphis, TN, James Hunter Brooks (Tara) of Germantown, TN, Madison Bobbitt Shinall (Wade), Jackson Bobbitt, Daniel Bobbitt all of Collierville, TN and four (4) great-grandchildren.

Sunshine was an Elementary school teacher for over 40 years. Her hobbies included Bridge and rooting for her Memphis Tigers.

A graveside service celebrating her Life will be held on Monday, May 3 at 2:00 PM in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery, 5485 Hacks Cross Rd., Memphis, TN 38125.
