Susan Houston Goetz, age 63, of Memphis, TN went to be with our Lord Friday, February 21, 2014. Susan was born in Owensboro, KY, to Bettye and Samuel Houston on July 22, 1950. She graduated from Memphis State University with a degree in Interior Design. She loved using her creative talents decorating homes and her church. Susan was married to Robert John Goetz, Jr. on July 6, 1968. She was an active member of Central Church, loved boating, the beach and never left a stray animal homeless. Susan is survived by her husband, Robert, her two children Ashley (Kevin) Demsky and Rob (Angela Warmath) Goetz of Collierville. She is also survived by her sister, Janie (John) Nozell and five grandchildren: Wade, Macy, Weston, Samuel and Jackson. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 24, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. The funeral will be held at Central Church in Collierville at noon on Tuesday. Donations in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Women's Ministry of Central Church.
