Teresa Y. Moore

Teresa Yancey Moore, 50 of Germantown, TN went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on October 18, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Teresa will be remembered for her strong faith and love of life. Teresa leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Brian Moore, her son Christopher and daughter Meghan Moore of Germantown, TN. She is survived by her parents Frank and Robbie Yancey of Oakland, TN; sister, Ann Yancey Conley of LaVeta, CO; and a brother, Lee Yancey of Oakland, TN. Teresa graduated from Memphis State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and began her professional career with Goldsmith’s as an assistant buyer. During her many years of working in the fashion and cosmetics industries, she held the positions of clothing buyer, store manager and cosmetics makeup artist for department and large specialty stores. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 5599 Poplar Avenue from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. The funeral will be Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. at The Catholic Church of the Incarnation in Collierville, TN. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, TN. The family requests any memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of which Teresa was a patient as a child.
