Eunice Carr, age 89, passed away peacefully in her home in her sleep on April 7, 2022. She was born in Eudora, MS on October 23, 1932, later her family moved to Memphis. Eunice graduated from Whitehaven High School. Eunice was an avid game player, she enjoyed cards, dominoes, board games and loved going to the casinos. She was affectionately known as Mother, Mom, Maw Maw, Unnie, Aunt Eunice.
Eunice was preceded in death by husbands, George Hollomon (1973) and James Carr (2020); siblings, Grover, Hubert, Elbert, Laura, and Oggie; parents, Thomas and Nettie Thompson. She is survived by her children, Ray Hollomon (Nita), David Hollomon (Sherry), Vicki Stringer (Fred), Carol Reeves (Bobby); stepchildren, Mark Carr, Tommy Carr (Silvana), Beth Carr; grandchildren, Jason, Becky, Brian, Chris, Lori, Sharon, Karen, Todd, Ben, Kim, Sarah and Emilie; great-grandchildren, Eryn, Drew, Alli, Bailey, Cooper, Milo, Rowan, Casen, Caylor, Colt, Jamie, Tracey, Taylor, Charlie, Autumn, Annabeth and Sadie; great-great grandchild, Tiger; a host of nieces, nephews and countless friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 11th from 2-3pm at Family Funeral Care with the service to follow at 3pm. The burial will take place on Thursday, April 14th at 11am at West TN Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
