

Thomas Paul Schwendimann, 82, went to be in the arms of Jesus on July 9, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Thomas was a blessing to everyone who knew him. Known for his kindness and generosity, he touched countless lives with his warm spirit and unwavering faith.
Born on January 9, 1943, in Wilsonville, Alabama, Thomas was the son of the late Julius and Lemma Schwendimann. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later retired from both the United States Postal Service and FedEx. Thomas was a devout Christian who deeply loved his church, Central Church, and lived out his faith daily through service and compassion.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Judith Schwendimann; his son, Jason Schwendimann; his cherished granddaughter, Eva Schwendimann; and his sister, Ann Powell (Morris).
The family would also like to recognize Thomas’s dear breakfast buddies, Larry Jackson and Phil Weatherington, whose friendship meant so much to him over the years.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 18, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Committal service and interment will take place at 11:00 AM, at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN.
Thomas's legacy of faith, love, service, and generosity will live on in all who knew and loved him.
