Violet Jean Jennings Black, known to many as "NaNa" or "Jeannie" 83, passed away February 21, 2018. Jean was a Christian, a lover of Tiger basketball and skilled as a hairstylist and artist. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Lynn Black; two brothers David Jennings and Arnold Jennings; one sister, Bettye Adams. Jean is survived by her husband, John Black; daughter Marilyn Black King; brother, Jimmy Jennings; grandchildren, Leslie, Lee and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Cort, Imojean and Maple. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 3rd from 12-2pm with funeral service at 2pm at Family Funeral Care. The burial will take place at Big Creek Cemetery.
