Wallace “Gene” Picheloupe, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at the age of 72 from a long battle with cancer. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and being at the river. Gene is survived by one daughter, Jeannie (Lance) Long of Bartlett; two sisters, Earline York, Sue Newcomb Hosman; one brother, Ellis Picheloupe; two grandchildren, Brittany Lewis, Dakota Long; and two great grandchildren. The family will receive guest Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. A celebration of his life will be at the funeral home Thursday at 2 pm.
