

William “Bill” Seth Holbrook, 83, passed away March 16, 2017. He was born in Ashland, Mississippi. He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended Northwest College in Senatobia, Mississippi. He retired from Luttrell Belting and Supply Company with 42 years of service and was also an active and loyal member of Jackson Avenue United Methodist Church until its closing, after which he attended Grimes United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.D. and Bessie Holbrook; his twin sister, Mary Beth Holbrook and three brothers, John, Vivian and Dallas Holbrook.
He leaves behind, the love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Mary Holbrook; two daughters, Gina (Tony) Boykin and Rebecca (Jeff) Hancock; son, Jeff (Jane) Holbrook; grandchildren, Michael, Cody, Maribeth, Don, and Ashley and great-grandchildren, Kalen, Aiden and Savannah.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 19 in the chapel of Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. A committal service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery, Ashland, Mississippi. Gifts in memory of Mr. Holbrook may be offered to Grimes United Methodist Church, 4649 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38122.
