William Paul Stehlin "Bill" Sellari, age 92, of Memphis, TN, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021. William was born October 15, 1929, in Brownsville, TN, to Artiode Sellari and Anita Pellonari. His mother died when he was 15 months old, and William was reared by his father and second wife, Ernesta Giancarli. William graduated from the University of Memphis and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean war. In addition to his parents, William is succeeded in death by his brothers: Carlo, Italo, Harry, Daniel, Louis, Ike, and Artiode, Jr. (Tony); and sisters: Maria Andreoli, and Lily Alfonso. William is survived by his sister Hilda Poole, and numerous nephews and nieces.
A Requiem Mass will be offered Saturday, August 28 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 28 E. Peebles Rd., Memphis, TN, by Fr. Scott Gardner, SSPX. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church, with a Rosary recited at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place following the Mass at Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 301348, Memphis, TN 38130-1348.
