William Isaac White, Jr. 94, of Memphis, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Mr. White was born in Shuqualak, MS. He attended Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. He was a longtime employee of McDonald Brothers as a bookkeeper and salesman. He went on to become a store manager of Ace Appliance on Lamar Ave. He also was one of the founding members of St. Stephen United Methodist Church on Macon Rd. Mr. White is survived by his daughter, Carolyn White of Towson, Maryland and son, Bill White of Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. White came from a family of 3 sisters and 1 brother. His wife, Opal Nadine, passed away on May 29th 2014. They met while they both served in the U.S. Army Air Force in Texas. They were married in February of 1945 in Decatur, Alabama and moved to Memphis after serving in WWII. There will be a graveside service on Monday, November 9th at 2pm at Memorial Park Cemetery.
