Donald R. Mayer

Donald Roland Mayer, age 75, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012. He was born in Chilton on September 20, 1936, the son of the late Roland and Della (Jouno) Mayer. Donald enjoyed snowmobiling and fishing, especially ice fishing. He served his country honorably in the Army. Donald was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewers fan. He was also a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Neenah.

Donald is survived by his sons: Robert and Kurt Mayer; sisters: Jean Duginski and Janice (Harold) Martin; grand-daughter, Annee, and several nieces and nephews. Donald is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Sam Duginski.

A Memorial Service for Donald will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, with the Rev. Grace Imathiu officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. A military honors service will be held after the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Donald’s name.
