Gordon Alan Thulin

Gordon A. Thulin, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. Born on August 20, 1931, in Hayward, WI, the son of the late Rudolph and Verna (Gordon) Thulin. He attended school in Hayward. He was united in marriage to Patricia Griffiths on October 27, 1951, in Hayward; she preceded him in death on December 2, 2007. Gordon worked as a senior metallurgist for Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, retiring after 38 years. He loved being out in the woods and spending time with his family. Gordon will be missed by his loving children: Alana Lee (Rick) Schultz of Winter, WI, Lindsley (Nadine) Thulin of Brownsville, WI, Melenie Treffert of Deforest, WI, Cindy (Pat) Nellessen of Reedsburg, WI, and Nelson (Carole) Thulin of Commerce, MI; grandchildren: Erik (Wendy) Bloohm, Amanda (Shannon) Alberts, Heidi Bloohm, Phillip (Nikki) Bloohm, Jessica (Corey) Godina, Kristin (Scott) Wadell, Justin Thulin, Scott Treffert, Tim (Sara) Treffert, Erika (Paul) Molitor, Holly and Brett Nellessen, Spencer, Paige and Noah Thulin; great-grandchildren: Shane, Elliot, Aaliyah, Payton, Alexandria, Layla, Kendra, Taylor, Jordyn, Oscar, Kylee and Mason; and his beloved dog, Andy. He was preceded in death by great-grandchildren: Stefanie Bloohm and Lauren Bloohm.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 29, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 Foster Road, Redgranite, with Rev. Gregory Sluke officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will take place in Foster Road Cemetery, Redgranite. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church Stained Glass Window Fund in memory of Gordon.
