

Kurt Walter Schiedermayer, age 67, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011. He was born in Appleton, on June 22, 1943, to the late Walter and Phyllis (Balstead) Schiedermayer. Kurt graduated from the University of Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. On September 5, 1964, Kurt was united in marriage to his loving wife of 46 years, Pearlann Wenzel. He served in the Army Reserves and was a financial advisor at AAL, Lutheran Brotherhood and Equitable Reserve Association where his qualifications included Fraternal Insurance Counsellor Fellow, Chartered Life Underwriter, Registered Health Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant. Kurt was able to talk to anyone and everyone and this outgoing personality perfectly suited his career choice as a financial representative. Throughout his career he assisted countless individuals in the Midwest with personalized plans designed to suit their needs. This career touched generations of family members.
Kurt’s greatest joy in life was his family. He took great pride in the accomplishments of his children Kariann and Andy and enjoyed sharing these moments with his friends. Being “grandpa” came second nature to Kurt and he enjoyed every moment he experienced with his grandchildren. Kurt enjoyed dancing, traveling, carpentry, photography and feeding and watching the birds in his back yard.
Kurt is survived by his wife, Pearlann Schiedermayer; children: Kariann (Tom) Hesse of Greenville, Andrew (Memory) Schiedermayer of West Allis; grandchildren: Ashlynn, Spencer, Connor, Sienna; sister, Marilynn (Peter) Bronson and brothers: Kevin (Ruth) Schiedermayer and Kyle Schiedermayer.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, with the Rev. Rich Engle officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
