

Thomas J. Stanislawski, age 71, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012, at Crestwood Senior Living in Menasha. On February 11, 1941, Thomas was born to the late Felix and Gertrude (Wanserski) Stanislawski in Racine. He was united in marriage to Caroline Zywicki on June 22, 1963 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point; she preceded him in death on February 17, 1994. Tom worked for his uncle at Wanserski’s for 20 years before purchasing the business in November of 1983, and worked there for another 19 years before retiring in 2002. He loved going to work at the store and visiting with the customers, feeling a personal attachment to them. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha. Tom will be missed by his children: Mark Stanislawski, Cindy Stanislawski, Douglas (Patricia) Stanislawski; his grandchildren: Kacey and Rebecca; three brothers: Felix (Germaine) Stanislawski, Terrance (Geraldine) Stanislawski; Frank Stanislawski; three sisters: Linda (Wally) Check, Jeannie (Robert) Binder, Mary (Ronald) Hobson; sisters-in-law: Marian Stanislawski, Genny Zywicki; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Stanislawski; and brother-in-law, Elmer Zywicki.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 17, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery in the Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
