Claudia Joan Salzer

Claudia was the 3rd. child of 6 born to Orville E. Hanson and Lorna G. Hanson. Claudia worked for Dr. Fercho in Fargo after High School. She married Roger Mootz of Fargo where they were blessed with 3 children, David Mootz, a set of twins, Barbara Hampson and Brenda Johnson.

Claudia married Arlo Salzer and they moved from Grand Forks to California. His job took him to Oahu for a few years before relocating back to Temecula, Ca. Arlo and Claudia were blessed with 3 children, Chad Salzer, Jon Salzer, and Lisa Poper.

Claudia was united in marriage to Guy Wiltshire, 12/16/1995.

Claudia was employed with California Oak Vision, she retired 10/14/2014, and had the time of her life in her retirement years.

Claudia enjoyed her family immensely and would love reunions with us all. The more the merrier. She loved each member of her extended family. Claudia was an avid bowler and on a league for a number of years. Claudia was an excellent cook and baker and loved to entertain, after dinner it might be an evening of visiting or playing games. Christmas was Claudia’s favorite holiday, but she loved to decorate for each of the Holiday’s. She always enjoyed going for coffee or lunch with her girlfriends, classmates, or co-workers. Claudia and Guy both enjoyed going to the movie theaters, out for dinners, and one of their favs was spending time at their timeshare in Hawaii.

Claudia was an adventurous soul who loved to travel, but this trip she journeyed to meet her Maker! God Speed Claudia!

She is survived by Husband: Guy Wiltshire, Children: David (Lora) Mootz, Barbara (Tony) Hampson, Brenda (Davin) Johnson, Chad (Davina) Salzer, Lisa (Travis) Poper, Step Daughter: Melanie (Andrae) Harriot. Step Son: Giovanni Young. Siblings: Marjorie (Odell) Braaten, Larry Hanson, Connie (Daniel) Korynta, Mark (Vicky) Hanson, Renee (Merle) Schwenzfeier, Brother-in-law: Dean Wiltshire, Step Daughter: Stacey Wiltshire. 10 grandchildren that were her pride and joy: AJ (Tami) Hampson, Amy (Joe) Johnson, Mike (Summer) Mootz, Matt Mootz, David Mootz, Missy (Will) Lamb, Brady (Laura) Meester, Bryce Meester, Jacob Salzer, Dylan Salzer, 4 Step Grandchildren: Ania Harriot, Leeland Harriot, Logan Harriot, and Zoey Harriot, 5 Great Grandchildren: Aniyah Johnson, Jett Johnson, Bryson Meester, Miloh Meester, William Meester.

Claudia’s funeral Service will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at The View Church, Menifee, Ca. at 11:00 a.m. and viewing will be 1 hour before the service.
