Kathleen Denise Denton, affectionately known as Kathy, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 69. A devoted daughter, sister, mother, and friend, Kathy was a longtime resident of Lake Elsinore, California, where she built a life grounded in love, quiet strength, and deep loyalty to those she cared about.
Kathy graduated from Elsinore High School in Wildomar, CA in 1973 and became a dedicated employee of Hudson RCI in Temecula, CA. Kathy entered the workforce early after completing high school ahead of schedule, quickly establishing herself as a loyal and hardworking presence wherever she went.
She dedicated over 20 years of service to Hudson RCI where her commitment, reliability, and gentle spirit earned the respect of everyone she worked with. Her work ethic and kindness left a lasting impression on those around her. Kathy’s ability to form lasting bonds was one of her greatest gifts—her friendships were sincere, rooted in kindness and trust.
She was a woman who found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life: spending time with loved ones, sharing laughter, and offering a helping hand without hesitation. Kathy’s quiet wisdom and steady presence brought comfort to many, and her love for her family was at the center of everything she did.
Outside of work, Kathy had a passion for cooking and took great pride in preparing meals that brought people together. She loved hosting family gatherings, where her warm hospitality, generosity, and comfort created lasting memories for everyone who walked through her door. Her home was a place of laughter, love, and open arms.
Kathy also had a love for sports. Over the years, she played in various adult leagues, staying active and building yet another community of friends who shared her competitive spirit and love of the game. In addition, she made it a priority to be supportive at her children’s athletic endeavors too. Whether on the field, in the kitchen, or at home with her family, Kathy lived with heart, humor, and a strong sense of connection.
She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her joyful presence, and the way she brought people together through food, fun, and friendship.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul and Vincenette Rabb; her sisters, Barbara Love and Linda Rabb; her brothers, Alfred, Richie, Ronald, and Donald Rabb; and cherished extended family members Wanda and Joe Garrett. She was also preceded by her dear sisters-in-love, Kathy and Lisa Rabb, as well as her treasured nieces Justine Walker and Josephine Royal, and nephews Harvey Rabb and Nathan Love.
She is survived by her devoted children: Kevin Ferris of Lake Elsinore and Marleena (Turusma) Garner of Menifee. Her memory lives on in her precious grandchildren: Devin Ferris, Camron Oney, Jaidyn and Amirah Mangham, Kahlius and Ezerhyah Garner, all of whom brought her immeasurable pride and joy.
Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness. She was the heart of her family—a matriarch, the peacekeeper, the quiet force who held everything together with grace and enduring devotion. Her life was a true example of love in action. Whether she was offering a warm meal, a wise word, or simply her calming presence, Kathy gave generously of herself, always putting others before her own needs.
Though her passing leaves a deep void, Kathy’s love will continue to echo in the lives of those she touched. Her spirit lives on in every family gathering, every favorite recipe passed down, every moment of patience and kindness shared.
She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered.
