Michelle Yvette Magill, age 37, passed away unexpectedly, January 14, 2025, at her home in Hemet, California. Michelle was born July 8, 1987 in Long Beach and spent her younger years in La Palma, Ca. and then lived in Simi Valley throughout her later school years and into college. She moved to Wildomar in 2011 and later moved to Hemet.
Michelle enjoyed her gaming and cosplay. She liked to sew and make her own clothes and costumes. Michelle loved animals and began riding horses when her Grandpa Clyde let her ride his horse up in Oregon. This love for horses carried though her young teen years and she looked forward every year to going to horse camp. When she turned 18, she got to be a counsellor at camp which gave her great joy.
She also loved going to the mountains and playing in the snow. This was something that we did once or twice a year with cousins, aunts and uncles… great times! She also enjoyed going to the Renaissance Fair and to the local winery with her mother and aunts. She had so much fun singing karaoke with her friends.
Michelle was easily bored and she would quit her college several times, but a few years ago, she pushed her way through and got her Bachelor’s degree in English and literature. She was an avid reader and was always sharing about the books she’d read. The last time her father saw her they talked about the “12 Rules of Life”, that she had shared with him a couple of years ago.
Michelle loved her drama classes too! When she was in high school, the story that we remember the most is the time that she and some of her friends, duck-taped one of the guys to a tree and got it all on video… not sure if they ever cut him down?! 😊
Her Dad remembers the times when he asked her to help him take care of one of the pregnant rabbits that he was raising. The mother wasn’t feeding her babies. Michelle adopted those little bunnies and took care of them… then she started helping out with the other rabbits that he was raising. In the years to come, she would take care of Dad’s animals whenever he went out of town… the rabbits, the tilapia, the chickens and the dog.
Michelle adopted and took care of many little animals over the years and she loved babies. When Michelle held Nathan and Jennifer’s newborn, Ashley, for the first time, something happened to Michelle. The look on her face…the warmth…the love was just glowing all around her!
