Nancy Jane Lawson

Nancy Jane Lawson, age 85, of Menifee, California passed away on Thursday May 4, 2023. Nancy was born in Charleston, Illinois, to Elmer Floyd Adair and Harriet Louisa (Shafer) Adair on November 16, 1937. Nancy graduated from Charleston High School in 1955. she graduated from Decatur-Macon County School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1958. Nancy married Chester David Lawson on June 27, 1958. They moved to California and settled in Anaheim, California, where they had 2 children. They divorced in 1973. Nancy moved to Menifee, California in 2008.

Nancy spent her 40+ year nursing career working in the operating room at various hospitals in Orange County, California. She was active in the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) and held various officer positions in the Orange County Association. She was a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).

Nancy is predeceased by her parents and her 13 brother’s and sister’s: her six half-sisters, Marian Piersma, Esther Watts, Virginia Scruggs, Barbara June Bell, Jean Carlyle and A. Lorraine Kass; one half-brother, Richard Adair; her sister Joanne Lawyer, brother Jack Adair and two sets of twin brothers, Jerry and Gerry Adair and John and Joe Adair. Nancy is survived by her children, Teresa Seaton and husband Richard of Menifee, CA; David Lawson and wife Rhonda of Lake Elsinore, CA; and sisters-in-law Lelia Adair and Carol Adair. Numerous nieces and nephews and their families also survive.
