To the family of dear Pam, Due to my being out of town, I was unable to attend Pam's celebration.   I am so glad I got to know her.  As fellow Illinoians, we shared many memories.  RIP.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of a beloved member of our Canyon Lake Garden Club💔Pamela Lach was an incredibly cherished board member. Her positive influence and the beauty she bringing joy, inspiration, and beauty to all of us. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the friendships she nurtured and the gardens she loved.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this incredibly difficult time. May they find peace and comfort in the memories of her extraordinary life. She will forever remain in our hearts.

I've come to realize leaving this Earth is a sacred thing.  She passed after a life fully lived, surrounded by so many family and friends, and now she lives on in you all.  You can't ask for better than that

I met Pam on March 5, 1971, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. Pam had given birth to her daughter Cindy that morning and I had given birth to my daughter Amy later in the afternoon. Over the next few days, we frequently met in the hallway and eventually exchanged phone numbers. While our daughters shared weekly playdates, Pam and I became close friends. 

We met as young moms, trying to find a balance among the various roles we had chosen. Family was important to both of us, but over the years we learned the true meaning of friendship together. We learned that different religious and political leanings could provide important alternative points of view. We learned that listening to one another over a cup of hot tea and a favorite pastry made the world seem brighter. We learned that a hug and kind words created the lasting bond we both craved. And, most importantly, we learned that we shared the core values of kindness, compassion and a belief in a higher power.

For over 50 years we have laughed together and cried together. I will miss hearing her soft voice, and I will miss seeing her sweet smile. I can only hope I have been as good a friend to Pam as she has been to me. 

We are keeping you, Ron, and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Our group of girlfriends have kept in touch since grade school.  Pam was a dear friend and we missed her when she and Ron moved out west.

I am so sorry for your loss. Pam was an amazing mom, nana and friend. I have so many wonderful memories with her at church and at “Heart to Heart” events . May she rest in peace in the arms of Jesus. Prayers for the family and friends of our beautiful guardian angel.

The Lach’s were good friends and neighbors with my family (the Dumelle's) on Crabtree, in Arlington Hts. Illinois in the ‘70s and ‘80s. I have many warm and fond memories from this era that includes time spent with the Lach’s. I used to stay with the Lach kids occasionally when Mr. and Mrs. Lach would go out of town. Always organized, Mrs. Lach had packed the fridge with premade meals to serve the kids throughout the weekend which made my “job” a breeze … and the kids were easy anyway.  As I recall,  I was really more there for Cindy, as John and Mike were in  middle school (I think) and Cindy in elementary school (I was in high school). I took Cindy to nearby quaint village of Long Grove peruse antiques and trinkets … I recall buying Cindy a little Lady Bug figure (or was it a bird? do you still have it?)  Mrs. Lach had beautiful, piercing blue eyes and I remember her always taking the time to talk and having a genuine interest in what I was doing. 

Lach Family, my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your sweet mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Pam was a natural mother, always nurturing and caring for everyone around her. She was thoughtful and kind and I will always treasure ours y years as Canyon Lake neighbors, in Women’s Bible Study, and with both her and Ron in couples Bible study.
