Pedro Antonio Carrillo

Pedro “Pete” Antonio Carrillo, 78, passed away on June 6, 2023, in Nuevo, CA. He was born on April 22, 1945, in Tijuana, BC, Mexico, to his parents, Antonio and Alejandra. He is survived by his wife Melanie, daughter Renee, her husband Mark, daughter Natalia, her husband Zane, son Tony, his wife Dennise, son Erik, his wife Becky, his brother Angel, sisters Guadalupe, Martha, Francisca, and Maria. Seven grandchildren: Alex, Natasha, Xavier, Jaydan, Sidonia, Izabella, Laney, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, grandparents, brother and many cousins

He served in the US Navy in 1964. As a Navy veteran, he was a proud and disciplined man who exemplified the core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

After his military service, Pete became a truck driver and then a truck owner. He was the owner of Carrillo & Sons Trucking until his passing. He was known for his dedication and hard work, and his work ethic was second to none. He loved to travel and explore new places, but his favorite destination was Mazatlán.

Pete was a member of the Antique Truck Historical Society, involved with Trucking For Kids and a past member of the Nuview Lions Club.

Pete was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He cherished his family and friends and was always there for them when needed. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Pedro will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Jones Mortuary and Crematory, 1835 N. Perris Blvd, Perris, CA 92571. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St James the Less Catholic Church, 22190 Dunlap Street, Perris, CA 92571. A committal service will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
