Alex “Tig” Bigler was born June 9, 1964. He graduated from Atwater High School where he was an honor student and loved playing trumpet and horns in the band. He attended San Diego State University and upon returning to Merced, started his own business, CenCal Events and Entertainment. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, where he was Exalted Ruler in 2001 and worked extensively with their Challenged Children’s program. He was a member of the Merced County Historical Society. He enjoyed being a part of the annual Mercy Gulch Days celebration. He worked with local high schools to produce “Every 15 Minutes”, a two-day program designed to bring student awareness to the dangers of drunk driving. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved scuba diving, kayaking and spending time at the family cabin in Cold Springs. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Stavros, and grandparents George and Irene Reding and Chris and Bertha Stavros. He is survived by his mother Mary Jo Reding-Stavros, his brother Chris Stavros, (Nicola Feedam), their daughter Paige Feedam-Gomez, and his beloved Great Dane Daisy. Funeral services will be held at Stratford Evans Funeral Home, 1490 B street, Merced, CA on Tuesday March 1st 2022, at 11:00 am.
