Anna Marie Mayorga

Anna M. Mayorga was born August 17, 1953 in Merced California and passed away in Salt Lake City Utah on October 15, 2012 at the age of 59.

Anna was an extraordinary woman, who was so many things to so many different people. She was a hard worker, a wonderful sister and mother. She was a friend to many and she was Favorite Grandma. Anna loved to travel, shop, and going to the casinos wearing her bling-bling, and most of all she adored her family. Her whole life was all about her family and we were truly blessed to have had her in our lives. She was our mentor and our friend and as a family she held us all together with all her opinions, laughter, love, and support. Mom accepted us all for who we were and was always there to tell us we could do anything our heart desired. She had faith and kind words for us when we needed it and when we needed a reality check she was there to “check” us. Anna was amazing and she will be deeply missed by many.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Joe Banda; and ex-husband & best friend, Gabe A. Mayorga.

She is survived by her girls & best friends, Diane, Salina (Robert Delgado), Deborah, and Natalie Mayorga, all of Merced; brother, Sal Banda of Union City; sisters, Norma Lopez, Angie Hernandez both of Fresno, and Linda Garcia of Merced; her greatest joy in life, her grandchildren, Alysha, Brittany, Vincent, Brandon, Veronica, Anthony, Baby Gabe, Daniel, Lia, Liliana, Pappi, Markitos, Andrea, Angel, Joseph, and Fabian; and her great-grandchildren, Rosalio, Emilio, Enalidia, Ameliah of Merced, and new edition Jazmyne of Utah; and many nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to extend a very special thank you to all of her co-workers at Merced County and to all of our family and friends for all of your help and extreme kindness, love and support. We also want to thank her brother-in-law, Mike Lopez and her sister-in-law, Marian Cortinas for always being there for her and for loving our Mom as family. God bless you all!

Recitation of Rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Mercy, 435 W. 21st St., Merced, CA 95340 at 9:30am followed with Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Merced District Cemetery. A reception will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home reception hall at 12:00pm.
