Armando Raymond Huizar

October 12, 1951 – November 14, 2017

Armando Raymond Huizar left this world suddenly on November 14, 2017. The youngest of 7 children, he was born to Emilia Luna and Jose Reyes Huizar on October 12, 1951 in Merced, California. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending family gatherings. One of his favorite past times was traveling to Chukchansi or Table Mountain Casino to gamble. Armando is preceded in death by his wife Deborah Huizar and his sister Marcela Tovar. He is survived by his two children Michael and Nicole Huizar; two grandchildren Brandon and Allyssa Silva and his mother in-law Louise Methvin, whom he loved and cared for dearly; his three sisters Margaret Huizar, Victoria Murrieta, Penelope Rocha all residents of Merced, California; two brothers Phillip Huizar, Livingston, California and Joe Huizar of Madera, California; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who all loved him dearly. Armando was a loving, kind man with a generous heart who others counted on for guidance and support. He made people laugh with a simple word and or facial expression. He had an infectious laugh that friends and family will hear in their hearts always. He cared for his immediate and extended family and asked for nothing in return. He sacrificed a lot and thought more of others than himself. Raymond had friends and family that will think of him fondly and miss and love him always. There will be a visitation held for him on November 27, 2017 from 3-7:00 p.m. and a Chapel Blessing on November 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery located at 260 W. Childs Ave, Merced, California.
