Beatrice Hernandez Luna

Beatrice Hernandez Luna was born January 12, 1940 in Chino, California to Paul and Rosa Hernandez. With great sadness, we announce that the passing away of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt on October 28, 2019 in Merced, California.

Beatrice came to Planada, California in 1949. She grew up there, later married and became a stay at home mom. After raising her four children, she went on to work in housekeeping and as a custodian for the Planada School District. In 1994 she became ill and was forced to retire from the work force. She moved to Merced two years ago for health purposes.

Beatrice was a lovely person. When she greeted you it was with the most beautiful smile that was a reflection of her kind heart and her whole being. She will be sorrowfully missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Rosa Hernandez and her brother, Gilbert Hernandez. She is survived by her four children, Rick Luna of Merced who was her caregiver, Martin Luna of Fresno, Julie Luna of Clovis and Sophia Gonzales of Modesto. Her grandchildren Adri, Maria, Andrea, Vickie, Andrew and her eight great grandchildren. Her sibblings Josie (Henry) Ybarra, Candy (Valente) Garza, Paul (Carol) Hernandez, Rosalie Briseno, Manuel (Ofelia) Hernandez, Maryellen (Lupe) Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews.
