Dale Wayne Hixson

Dale Wayne Hixson was born on February 16, 1938 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania to Dale and Mary Hixson, and passed away on May 25, 2024 in Merced, California at the age of 86. Dale was an Elementary School Teacher and was a member of the Yosemite Parkway Church of Christ in Merced, California.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Carol Hixson (Atwater, CA); sons Brian Keith Hixson (Merced, CA), Eric Neil Hixson (Columbia, TN) and Nathan Paul Hixson (Columbia, TN); brothers Richard Hixson (Sacramento, CA), Barry Hixson (Bethlehem, PA) and John Hixson (Coopersburg, PA); sisters Deanna Unger (Wabash, IN) and Sandy Wolfinger (Quakertown, PA) and eight grandchildren.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents Dale and Mary Hixson, Sister Sylvia Belzner and grandparents.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the many doctors and nurses that cared for Wayne the many times he was a patient at Mercy Hospital. We are deeply appreciated of the care and attention that he received from the caregivers at Jasmin Burns Homes. Thank you Maria, Leo, Sue, Denny, Paula, Myra and Juana. And my sincere thanks to the wonderful nurses at Covenant Care that took care of Dale.
