Evelyn Rodriguez Montez

Evelyn Rodriguez Montez, born September 21, 1963, went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2013 (at the age 50). Born in Los Banos, CA to Carol and Paul Rodriguez, the oldest daughter of four children, attended local schools before marrying the love of her life, David Montez in 1980. Devoted to her family, Evelyn and David remained in Dos Palos, before moving to Chowchilla, CA in (1992) where she and David raised their three children.

Evelyn touched those she came in contact with through her gentle loving spirit. She was an amazing women of strength who fought the complications of her diabetes with strength and dignity to the very end. She loved helping others and worked in the medical field most of her adult life. Accepting Christ as her Savior in 2006, her focus turned even more toward those around her and sharing her faith. She loved hosting family gatherings for her large extended family and enjoyed shopping with family and friends. Evelyn made it her goal to encourage those around her and help in any way she could.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, David Montez, Jr. and nephew Daniel Corchado. Evelyn is survived by her husband David Montez; son Evan Montez, daughter, Monica Santana and husband Rudy Jr; grandchildren, Savannah, Rudy David, and Marina Santana; parents, Carol and Paul Rodriguez; sisters, Linda Rodriguez; Christina Aguero and husband Ruben Aguero; brother Fred Rodriguez and wife Kathy; numerous brother and sister in laws, cousins, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Viewing that will be held on December 3rd 2013 at 10:00A.M. Being held at Valley Harvest Church located at 717 Robertson Blvd. Chowchilla, CA 93610. A Celebration of Life is to follow also on Tuesday December 3rd 2013, at 11:00 A.M. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Thursday December 5th 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Chowchilla Cemetery 233359 Road 14.5 Chowchilla CA, 93610.
