

Freddie Beatrice Grayson, age 94, of Merced, California passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Freddie was born September 1, 1926 in Ripley, California. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1944. She went on to getting her Associates Degree in Tailoring in 1962 and an Associates Degree in Business in 1982. She was employed throughout her life as a bartender, dressmaker and designer, custodian, office assistant and home health aid. Freddie's hobbies were reading cowboy stories, making jewelry, collecting candle sticks and china tea cups, going fishing with her sister Val and watching baseball with her sisters Mae and Ruthie. Last but not least what she enjoyed most of all was crocheting.
Freddie is survived by daughter Jacqueline Victoria Grayson of Kennewick, Washington. Her grandchildren, Philip Wm. Lewis of Berkeley, California and Dennis Jordan of Kennewick, Washington. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Freddie is preceded in death by her father, Merica Grayson; mother, Florence Merriman-Grayson; sisters, Edna Mae Foster, Valerie Moore, Vivian Ruth Harris and Evelyn Futch.
Freddie will be remembered by two sayings, "I'm a little piece of leather well put together" and "Kickin' but not high, Flutterin' but can't fly, Livin' and won't die".
Freddie had many friends and spent time traveling across the USA with them by car and on tour buses. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
