Georgia was born August 15, 1925 in Snelling, Ca. She was a member of the Salvation Army and the Merced Senior Club. She was also a Child Care Caregiver. Her favorite pastime was traveling, she loved to travel. She had the biggest heart and was a giver. One of the most loving person you come ever come across. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, especially with her grandchildren.
Georgia is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Mathiesen (1978) and her son, James L. Mathiesen (1982); her brothers, Jay and Carl Lohff; her sisters, Mary Blankenship and Sofie Dias.
She is survived by her children, Jerri Franks of San Diego and Judith Krejci of Atwater. Also surviving Georgia are 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
