Geraldine Brown

Geri was born on May 28th, 1932 in Arkansas. She entered into rest on November 12, 2016 in Merced, California. She was a farmer, hairdresser, landlady, and cook extraordinaire! Geri enjoyed 84 wonderful, healthy years! She was blessed to be able to start a career in her late 70s as the canning lady at the Merced Farmers Market. Oh how she looked forward to Saturday mornings, she loved it!

Her family were here pride and joy! Geri is survived by her son Lee Cansler (Chrystal), granddaughter Michelle Guinn (Skip), and great granddaughters Emily and Haley. She is also survived by her daughter Karen Montano (Dave), grandsons David Jr. (Lilia), and Nick, and great grandson David III. Geri has five surviving siblings Reba, Barbara, James, Johnny, and Jerry Swilley. Geri also leaves behind a very large extended family. She also leaves behind her special , cherished friends Bo and Dianna Bard that took her on a Hawaiian vacation just last year.

Geri was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Olga Swilley, her son Wayne Cansler , and Danny Swilley. Geri also outlived her first husband of 45 years Jim Cansler , second husband Ed Grahl of 2 years , and third husband Joe Brown of 10 years.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 17th at 11:00 at Merced Cemetery District.
