Irma Meza was born on May 12, 1958 in Merced, California and passed away on October 21, 2013 in Merced, California at the age of 55 years. Irma was born in Merced where she resided for 23 years before relocating to Fresno, California. She lived in Fresno for 32 years and started working as an educator for many years. She loved teaching, she loved drawing and making photo copies that enhanced the development of her children. She had just recently relocated back to her hometown of Merced.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Meza Sr.; and brother, Saul Pedroza Meza. Irma leaves behind her mother, Francesca P. Meza; children, Sandra and Joseph Ybarra; sisters, Rosie Meza-Leyva, Elizabeth E. Martinez and Josephina Meza; brothers, Vicente Meza, Adam Meza and Ray Meza; and 7 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Merced Cemetery District on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00am.
