Leona Mae Boehm

In 1958 she graduated from Swedish American Nursing School. She then began her career as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital for 35 years and then Country Villa for 5 years. She loved all of her patients and cared deeply for them.

Leona enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also an avid San Francisco Giants and 49er fan.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, LaVern Laird and Dorthy Laird; and sister, Lucille Long.

She leaves behind her children, Charles (Leana) Boehm, Tracey (Mark) Casaletto and Michelle (Chris) Prine; grandchildren, Lindsay and Andrew Boehm, and Leslie and Taylor Prine; great grandchildren, Lexie Boehm and Noah Gurrola; brother, Richard Laird; and ex-husband, Charles Boehm Sr.

A visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 11:00am-12:00pm with services to follow at 12:00pm.
