It is with great sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother Lupe Hernandez Wiggins on December 4, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 years young.

Lupe, born to Rito and Angela Hernandez on November 6, 1936, in Glendale, AZ, is the cherished mother of Rita Rodriguez (David) from Planada, Robert Padilla (Rafaela)

from Sacramento, Tony Padilla (Nellie) from Houston, TX, Raymond Padilla (Susan) from Merced, Angie Jenkins (Bob) from Rockledge, FL. She is preceded in death by her son Louie Padilla (Dora) and loving husband Bobby Wiggins. Lupe adored and spoiled numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren.

Lupe was known for her sense of humor, kindness, compassion, and warmth to all who met her. She traveled to many countries and continents but found her favorite places near home in Le Grand, Planada, and Merced.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Stratford & Evan Funeral Home (1490 B Street, Merced, CA), followed by a Burial Service at Plainsburg Cemetery, (8943 Gillette Avenue, Merced, CA), and a Celebration luncheon at the Le Grand American Legion Hall (12560 Le Grand Rd., Le Grand, CA).ce
