Inez was born to Joe and Anna Rosa on July 13th, 1956 in Faial, Azores. In the late 1960s, the family uprooted and moved to California, United States. In 1981, she married Eugene Avila and together they raised two children, Jennifer and Nicole. She earned her Associates degree and taught for Weaver Union School District for 27 years.
Inez was creative and had an eye for making things beautiful. She always had creative ideas and projects she wanted to do for her family and went the extra mile for her students to make their time at preschool memorable. She believed that children were a gift from God and treated every child like they were one of her own. She was a loving person with a huge heart and made sure that you knew that you were loved. She found ways to make you feel special and always gave her all. Inez is remembered as a social, fun-loving, funny, and free spirited woman who loved to live life to the fullest. She was proud of her children and adored her granddaughters. She was so grateful to become a grandmother and loved her granddaughters Hannah, Hailey, and Hazel with all her heart. Her strength and courage will never be forgotten.
Inez is preceded in death by her father Joe, mother Anna and by her husband, Eugene. She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer and Nicole and their husband's Scott and Daniel, her granddaughters Hannah, Hailey and Hazel, along with her brothers Joe and Carlos with their families, nieces, nephews and cousins.
