Mia is survived by her husband, Virginio Morales Hernandez; her children, Halina and Brianna Cortez and Dominique Hernandez; her brothers Mario Mercado; her sisters, Dominica Ayala, Angel Santuste, Chantage Munguia, Salena Cervantez and Amy Mercado. Also surviving Mia are 5 grandchildren.
Mia is preceded in death by her mother Beverly Thompson, stepfather Rafael Reye, father Silvano Mercado, brother Davis Mercado, along with 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
A virgil service with rosary for Mia will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, Merca, California. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Merced, California.
