Mildred G. Naef

January 3, 1923 ~ November 24, 2011

Mildred was born to Cedric A. and Esther Anderson on January 3, 1923 in Potlatch, Idaho. She peacefully departed from life on November 24, 2011, in Merced, California. She was 88 years old.

Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband of thirty-nine years, Robert E. Wainwright. They made their home together in Walla Walla, Washington, raising their four children and working together in the Insurance and real estate business. After Robert’s passing, Mildred moved to Merced where she met her second husband, Raymond Naef. They shared ten years together. She loved traveling and having visits with her children and their families, and you could always find Mildred in her garden, tending to her prized roses.

Her life from the beginning to the end of her days was enriched by her faith in a living God.

Mildred is survived by her children and their spouses; Barbara (Roger) Major of Arizona, Kay (Norman Lees) Wainwright of New York, Marcus (Sharon) Wainwright of Arizona and Melody (Ray) Wenham of Merced, California. She leaves nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bear Creek Community Church, 1717 E. Olive Avenue, Merced, CA.

Mildred has requested that in lieu of flowers, to please make donations to Hinds Hospice of Merced, 410 W. Main Street, Merced, CA 95340. The kindness and care the nurses from Hinds Hospice provided Mom, and our family, will always be remembered.
