Octavio Pruneda Garza

Octavio was a very dedicated mentor to the young men whom he coached on Atlas Soccer Club of Merced. He was an avid sports fan, and loved to go fishing. Octavio loved his children and family whole heartedly, and enjoyed making them laugh with all the jokes and pranks he did.

The family would like to give special thanks to Doctor Sandoval, Doctor Ikemiayashiro, Doctor Fiero and all his staff, as well as Da Vita Dialysis for all of their kindness and help that was provided.

Octavio is preceded in death by his parents; Anastacio Garza and Ernestina Pruneda Garza, and his brother; Astolfo Garza.

He is survived by his wife; Rocio Garza, children; Alondra Garza, Ariana Garza, and Alexi Garza, brother; Gerardo Salas, sister; Kriselda Barahona, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street Merced, California 95341. Interment will follow immediately after services at Merced District Cemetery located at 1300 B Street Merced, California 95341.
