Pete Rangel Romo

was a resident for 53 years.

Pete met Juanita while working in the orchard fields together. They were married on October 15, 1971, celebrating almost 45 wonderful years of marriage. Pete worked as a Sanitary Engineer for Merced City for 26 years before he had to retire due to his surgery in 2011. He was an active member of the Sacred Heart Church.

Pete loved to watch football, he especially loved the Cowboys. He also loved to travel to Texas with his wife to go visit family. Pete was a loving man and had such a pure heart. He loved to talk to anyone and everyone, he was a compassionate, positive person, and nobody ever saw him mad.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Hope and Elias Romo; brothers Norberto and Raymond Romo. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Romo; son, Pete Romo Jr. of Merced, daughter; Kimberly Jamieson of Kansas; brothers, Dino Romo of Indiana and Johnny Romo of Arizona; sisters, Connie Romo of Nevada, Lolly Cortez Guerra of Merced and Yolanda Medina of Modesto; Grandchildren, Ashley Romo of Georgia, Amellia Romo of Merced, Tina Hennessy of Kansas, Jonathon and Mathew Gibbs of Kansas, Kyle and Kristopher Jamieson of Kansas and

Crystal Torres of Kansas.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 4:00PM-8:00PM with a vigil service with rosary at 6PM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Church.
