

Raymond Mora was born on June 11, 1956 in San Bernardino, California. He passed away on June 29, 2011 at the age of 55 years old. Ray was a graduate of Merced High School in 1974.
Ray worked for many years as a journeyman painter. He loved working on cars including his El Camino in which he took much pride in. He also enjoyed fishing, going to the races and watching Ernie Irvan, and driving diesel trucks with his young son Phillip. As years went on Phillip took on driving diesel trucks in which Ray enjoyed riding with him. He spent most of his time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Mora; mother, Carmen P. Mora; sister, Linda Mattos; brother, Ramon Mora; and grandson, Dyvin Timothy Mora.
Ray is survived by his children, Stephanie (Mora) and Cali Bun, Phillip and Kayla Mora and Julia (Mora) and Franco Ruiz all of Merced; grandchildren, Naudia, Damien, Tatum, Adrien, Cayden, and one grandson on the way; brothers, Louie Martinez of Riverside, Bobby Mora, George More, Steve Mora, Michael Mora and Richard Mora all of Merced; sisters, Terry Gracia, Sylvia Hernandez, Patricia Maya all of Merced, Rosemary Quiroz of Riverside, Ramona Pacheco of Arizona and Barbara Arauza of Chino, CA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Merced.
