Richard attended Galen Clark Elementary School, Tenaya Junior High School and was a graduate of Merced Union High School and attended Merced Junior College.
Richard was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alberta Johnson; father, Ernest Windham; uncle, Melvin Steverson; and aunt, Mary Lee Cherry. Richard leaves behind his loving mother, Christine Steverson; sisters, Wanda Steverson Lax of Merced, Dorothea Steverson Browne, Pamela Steverson of Las Vegas, NV and his younger brother, Ronald A Steverson (Cindi) of Stockton, CA. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces; Jennifer Burkley Hill (Curtis), Tiffany Oliver Green and Jasmine L. Oliver; and nephews, Ronald A Steverson, Jr., Daryl Wright and Ryan Steverson and his three great nephews and niece and will be greatly missed by all.
Services for Richard will be held Saturday July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Pisgah A.M.E. Zion Church at 742 N Street Merced California 95341. A repast following the service at the Mt. Pisgah A.M.E Zion Church.
