Roberto (Bobby) R. Hermosillo Jr. affectionately known as “Pops”, “Herm” and “Primo" passed away at the age of 54 on Monday December 25th, 2023, due to a decline in his health. After months of going back and forth to doctors’ appointments, and being in and out of the hospital; there was still no solid diagnosis. To this day our dear Bobby still remains a “mystery” to the medical field, and this is how the entire team at Stanford Hospital classified it. However, as he remains a mystery to them; he made one thing clear to everyone who had the chance to hear him speak in his final days. This was that no matter what happened, God's timing is absolutely perfect, and we were to all trust in Him and His divine plan. God is good, all the time. That my friends is no mystery and Bobby knew that. So as the days pass and we miss him dearly he has paved the way for us; so that we can find rest in the One who knows best. Our God who gives us strength also gives us the assurance that Bobby is home. ❤️ Bobby was born on November 14th, 1969, in Merced California. He spent his whole childhood residing at 157 West Gerard Ave located in South Merced. He loved break dancing, playing sports and spending time outside by the canal banks. He graduated Merced high school, class of 87’; then moved to Phoenix Arizona where he then graduated from PIT. At the age of 19, while still in Phoenix; he met Raquel Garza, who would become the love of his life. Shortly after finding each other they moved back to Merced and began a remarkable life together. They began growing their family and living life side by side; becoming absolutely unbreakable no matter what they went through. Bobby graduated from the Academy of corrections in 1996 and spent 27 wonderful years working for the department. He loved his job, and most importantly his partners. Work is where he met some of his dearest friends who then became his second family. Bobby loved the outdoors, and loved to work on his old trucks whenever he had the chance. However, more than anything, he loved his grandson Robby most of all. "Rowdy Robby" who Bobby so lovingly proclaimed, was his pride and joy. Robby was his right hand man, he was his best friend. He spent so much of his time taking care of his family, doing things for others, and always showing up when someone needed him; that’s just who he was. Bobby just loved others, and he always had this beautiful way of making anyone feel welcome and at home. He was a principled man of integrity; always in search of the truth. In his final years, he deeply contemplated his faith and how distant he’d become from God. He then came full circle in his beliefs and recommitted himself to Christ. He made sure that every conversation he had, he’d make it known to whoever he was speaking with; how much Jesus loved him, and how much Jesus loved them. The amount of support, love, compassion, and prayer Bobby received during the final weeks of his life were a tremendous source of joy, peace, and comfort to him. Bobby was predeceased by his parents Bobby Sr, and Yolanda Hermosillo. He is survived by his loving wife Raquel, His 4 kids and their significant others who he loved as his own: his eldest son RJ, 2nd eldest Michael (Brenda), youngest son Daniel (Alyssa) and daughter Mariah (Roberto). Along with his grandson Robby, 3 step grandchildren, Joel, Destiney and Mya and one step great grandson, Maverick. He is also survived by his 3 siblings and their loving partners: eldest sister Michelle (Brian), younger sister Yvonne (Nathan), and his younger brother Greg (Vanessa). He also leaves behind 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Haley, Taylor, Madison, Bella, Gregory, Anthony, Joe, Jake, along with 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
