Saul Alberto Garza

April 8, 1976-September 6, 2011

Saul Garza Sr. was born to Fernando and Martha Garza in Merced, Ca on April 8th, 1976. He passed away in San Francisco, Ca on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the age of 35. Saul was also known to family and friends by the name of Sully and Sal.

He was raised in Merced where he graduated from Merced High in 1995. He worked for Taylor's Muffler and Radiator in Winton, Ca for 15 years as a mechanic. Saul enjoyed family gatherings, working on cars, playing pool, and bar-b-queuing. Saul was a big kid at heart who enjoyed playing around with his kids, nephews and nieces. He was a great person to get along with who loved joking around and making others laugh.

Saul was a very loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Saul was the youngest of four siblings; he had two sisters Ida Carr and Griselda Ibarra. He had one brother Fernando Garza Jr. Saul Garza is survived by his wife of 10 years Mary Garza, his children Martha, Saul Jr., stepdaughters Andrea and Alicia.

Saul is preceded in death by his father Fernando Garza Sr.

We are truly blessed to of had him in our life for the time we had with him and he will truly be missed deeply.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 2:00-7:00pm at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced, Ca 95340. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00am and will be given by Elder Valdemar Torres at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. Burial to proceed at the Merced District Cemetery.
