

Ntxhi Walue Yaj was born on April 25, 1940 in Xanasab in Xam Neua province, Laos. Ntxhi was the daughter of Nkias Tsab Yaj and Mim Lauj. She had four brothers and two sisters. Her brothers’ names were Neeb, Nkaub, Tsas, and Vaj, but her sisters’ names were unknown.
In 1975, Ntxhi single handedly migrated from Laos to Nong Khai refugee camp in Thailand with her five children following the aftermath of the Vietnam War. In 1979, Ntxhi and her five children were sponsored by Niam Tais and Yaws Txiv Muas Leej to America but was faced with obstacles when questioned of how she would be qualified to come. So, Toj Xeem Maib Tsab helped testify providing the history of her husband, Nkias Tub Walue Vaj, who served in the military during the Vietnam War, which allowed Ntxhi and her five children to come to America in her husband Nkias Tub’s name and there she relocated to Missoula, Montana. In 1983, she relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her six children and in 1987 they relocated to Merced, California where she live the rest of her life. Ntxhi died at the age of 84 years young in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Ntxhi has impacted many people in all walks of life. She single handedly raised her six children as a single mother. She was both father and mother to her children, spreading knowledge and love to everyone around her. She was the foundation for her family, teaching them to love each other and be there for each other. She loved to help others, handled everything, and took care of everyone with love. She was always readily available to help anyone who needed her help. She dedicated her life to agriculture and gardens. She was perfect at whatever she did and never found an excuse not to do anything. She brought her children to believe in God and taught everyone to be faithful in the Lord. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to all her children.
Nxthi was blessed with seven children and is survived by her six children, four sons: Thayyeng, Chueyeng, Mitch, and William; and two daughters Xy and Lig; her four daughter-in-laws: Zoua Lee, Youa Vang, Mai Y. Moua, and Xer Thao; and one son-in-law: Npis Lis; along with 50 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren
