Edward Noble Gunn

Graveside services for Mr. Edward N. Gunn will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 12 noon in the Arkadelphia Baptist Church cemetery. Bro. Dano Rainer will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Stephens Funeral Home.

Mr. Gunn, 88, of Bailey , passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He was retired from Delco Remy, served in the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and will be remembered as an avid reader. He was a long time member of Arkadelphia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Roberts and her husband Chester of Meridian, Valerie Haley of England, son, Dennis “Pee Wee” Gunn of Bailey, and sister, Jewel Cox of Contonement, Florida. He is also survived by grandchildren, Wendi Green, Jennifer Reid, Matthew Roberts, Bryant Gunn, Leah Ann Blackwell, Steven Haley, Andrew Haley, Richard Haley, Darren Haley, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gunn was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Myrtle Gunn, his wife, Eva Mae Banks Gunn, two brothers, five sisters, one son in law and a great great grandchild. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

The family requests that any friends who wish to prepare food to bring it to Arkadelphia Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 10 am to 11 am at Stephens Funeral Home.
