George E. Davidson

Funeral services for George E. Davidson, 70, of Meridian, will be Thursday at 2pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Davidson passed away Monday in Anderson Hospital.

He was a retired industrial mechanic, US Army veteran, member of Oakland Heights Masonic Lodge, loved playing guitar and working with leather.

Survivors include his children Angela McNeill (Bobby) of Enterprise, Gloria Cole of Brandon, Dawn Covington of Enterprise and George Daniel Davidson of Meridian; grandchildren Heather McKelvaine (Ike) of Enterprise, Seth McNeill of Quitman, Reilly Cole and Reagan Cole of Brandon, Hannah Covington, Cayley Covington, Malerie Covington, Emily Covington and Kiley Covington all of Enterprise; great-grandchildren Lindsey McKelvaine, Ike McKelvaine, Kate McKelvaine and Landon McKelvaine; brothers Bill W. Davidson (Sandi) of TN, Robert L. Davidson of Meridian and step sister Christy Beasel (Doug) of Kansas City, MO and his dog Sugar whom he loved very much.

Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Robert Davidson, Daniel Davidson, Dawn Covington, Gloria Cole, Ross Davidson and Bobby Bryan.
