Michael Lamar Delapaz

Funeral Services for Mr. Michael Lamar Delapaz will be held Sunday at 1pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. Bro. Tommy Miller will be officiating. Burial will be in Desoto Cemetery in Clarke County.

Mr. Delapaz, 40, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday at his residence. He was a Direct Care Worker for East MS State Hospital.

Mr. Delapaz was a very avid sports fan especially the Denver Broncos. He was known for his great love of his family who enjoyed being a dad to his recently born son and will always be remembered as a hard worker. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother Barbara Hunt Delapaz; girlfriend Keisha Bobbitt; son Denver Delapaz; brothers Tyler, Garrett, Bryan, Larry, Jamie and Cesar Delapaz and sister Cathy Hunt. Mr. Delapaz is also survived by his grandfather Lamar Hunt and four nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Carmelita Delapaz and grandmother Virginia Hunt.

His brothers along with his nephew Cesar Delapaz Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 11am to service time on Sunday.
