Russell H Watts

Services for Mr. Russell Hinning Watts will be held at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 1 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Wesley Landrum will be officiating. Burial will be in the Old Marion Cemetery.

Mr. Watts, 70, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday at Queen City Nursing Center. He served many years as a security officer for Peavey Electronics. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Jo Watts, his daughters, Shelley Watts Hernandez Alonso and her husband Cornelio and Anna Maria Watts, his grandchildren, Paul Russell Thomas Woodruff, Ana Aliea Whitt Gomez and husband Christoball, step grandchildren, Mayde Hernandez, Esmeralda Hernandez, Kaylean McIntire, Almamia Alonso, sisters, Nina Rigdon, Gloria Johnson, brother, Josiah P. Watts and wife Patricia of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Anna Watts, brother, James E. Watts, sister, Lavonia McPhearson, grandchildren, Richard David Woodruff Jr. and Christian Garcia.

Pallbearers are John Mason, Larry Mosley, Chip Knox, Russ Harper, Mickey Booker and James Hardy. Honorary pallbearer Anna Maria Watts.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday at Stephens Funeral Home.
