David passed away in Merritt after a courageous battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his wife Leona, and his sons Wayne (Jan. 2017) Shelby (Jan. 1991). Also predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his sister Belle Atkinson (Merritt) and his brother Bernie (Kamloops). He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Lorna (Vern) Latremoulle of Merritt, Sherri (Bill) MacDonald of Golden; grandchildren Jodi Latremouille (Jason Nyeste), Sarah (Wylie) Mitchell, Sasha MacDonald, Coy MacDonald (Cody Friesen), Shane Marriott, Nikki (Greg) Aim, Taya Marriott (Bryce Justinen); as well as great-grandchildren Taylor and Kiera, Surya and Althea, Harlow and Saylor, Sophia and Aurean.

David will be sadly missed by his loving partner of 14 years.Violet Norman, and all of her family.

Special thanks go out to all of the homecare and medical personnel who helped and cared for Dad at home - you are amazing. Also, special thanks to Gillis House staff who made Dad's final moments so peaceful, and to all our friends and family for your kind words and love.
